The Kiwanis Club of Greater Abilene conducts the Kids Need Kiwanis Golf Tournament every year. Sponsors from around Abilene contribute to the fundraiser that brings in more than $70,000 a year. The funds grant more than $20,000 in local student scholarships. The Kiwanis Club of Greater Abilene also helps with grants to local organizations such as Meals on Wheels, Ben Richey Boys Ranch, Boys/Girls Club, Children’s Miracle Network and buys school supplies and clothing for Abilene Students.
